Payam Minoofar has a B.S. in chemistry from Berkeley and is presently a Ph.D.candidate in inorganic chemistry at UCLA. His research focus is energy transfer in mesostructured sol-gel thin films which falls under the "materials chemistry" category. He has had positions in analytical labs, a toxicology lab, and a clinical medicine lab between Berkeley and UCLA. He is hopeful to find a job after he graduates so he can afford to buy the next version of ChemOffice.
