Dr. Paul Wight completed a B.Sc. in Chemistry at Durham University, and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Nottingham University, where he studied natural product chemistry, mechanistic chemistry and computational chemistry. He joined ICI in 1989, and has stayed with his current employer through its incarnations as Zeneca and Avecia. He is currently engaged in fundamental research into materials for imaging, especially novel ink jet dyes. He is also responsible for defining the computational and IT strategies for the research interests of his business.
