Dr. Narayanan Balu received his Ph.D. in 1996 in organic chemistry and followed with postdoctoral research positions at the University of Texas, the University of Nebraska and Duke University. While at Duke, he was awarded the prestigious National Research Council Senior Associateship to work for the Environmental Protection Agency. Currently, he is working at the EPA's research division at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina in the area of environmental carcinogenesis.
