Dr. Elizabeth Platz is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Platz also holds appointments in urology and oncology. She is working to uncover the etiology of prostate and colorectal cancers. In the area of colorectal cancers, Dr. PlatzÕs current interests lie in the role of insulin and growth factors. In the area of prostate cancer, Dr. Platz is currently interested in genetic and circulating markers of androgenicity, inflammation and oxidation.
