Traditionally in Japan, employees of the national university have been expected to practice neutrality and to refrain from overtly voicing opinions with regard to certain products, in order to avoid giving a market advantage or increased profitability to a particular company. While these expectations have changed, when all national universities were incorporated two years ago most people, including myself, have not yet taken full advantage of their increased liberty of expression. However, here as an avid fan of CambridgeSoft products, I make no mistakes in taking this opportunity to share with you my impressions on ChemOffice, which includes ChemDraw, the golden standard of chemistry softwares.
