Combinatorial chemistry is a powerful technique for increasing a chemist’s productivity. It allows the chemist to produce large libraries of compounds relatively quickly. These libraries can then be screened to find, for example, drug compound candidates. This ability to generate great numbers of compounds brings with it great demands for planning and managing data. It isn’t enough to just make a few thousand compounds; you also want to have a sufficiently diverse set of compounds. Once you have your library of compounds you will run analyses on them, and you need to be able to keep track of which analyses go with which compound.

What is CambridgeSoft CombiChem?
