E-Notebook
Erkang Fan, A research assistant professor at the University of Washington examines E-Notebook.

THE LATEST CHEMOFFICE includes E-Notebook, which was previously only available on an enterprise level. This review focuses on evaluating, from my own perspective, how useful the desktop version of E-Notebook is in terms
of recording and organizing chemical data generated from a small academic research group.
Managing research data that was
gathered from years of work can be a very demanding task. Although data or notes generated on paper can often be well organized, it still takes a great deal of time and effort to search for a specific piece of information. Software like
CambridgeSoft E-Notebook offers the ability to manage data in a digital format, which in principle should facilitate data archiving and retrieval.
The purpose of this review is to determine the ease of installation and use, whether the search methods are efficient, and how well a user can safeguard data against potential loss.
