This is a further refinement of a suite of software based around ChemDraw, which has been the industry standard chemical structure drawing program for some years. I found the suite well resourced with databases and examples. More importantly for the user, I also found excellent integration of the three key features of chemical structure management, namely: drawing, viewing, and searching/query submission.

Additional features allowed further integration for more advanced users using database design and lookup/ retrieval, as well as automatic retrieval from chemical databases using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Ancillary to these primary functions within chemical information management are a host of peripheral, yet powerful features, ranging from MOPAC 3D molecular structure energy minimization to property prediction. Indeed, it became apparent as I planned the review that ChemOffice is very feature rich, and an examination of the bulk of the features would .....
